The 343rd Kokutai Samurai Challenge is an intra-squad competition which promotes survival skills, tactical awareness, and flying 1% aircraft within performance limits in combat. Pilots who excel in a particular Japanese aircraft are awarded 'belts' to mark their victories and progress in Samurai Challenge matches.
Samurai Challenges are held in two sets, early war and late war, where pilots must progress through each aircraft round for that set, and defeat all the other pilots in the round to earn credit for a belt. Listed below are the belt levels, in descending order, for 343rd Samurais. Pilots who have earned a particular belt level will have their name listed below that belt under each aircraft.
